Region Description

Polydroso of Amarousion, now mainly a residential area, is one of many suburban districts, which over the duration of the last century, gradually became parts of the urban complex of Athens. It is to the North of central Athens, and topographically it is situated at the foot of the mount Pendeli, and within walking distance to one of the rare occasions of salvaged natural landscape in Athens, namely the “Rematia”, a lavishly forested gorge which makes its way down from mount Pendeli all the way to Halandri, a neighbouring municipality to Polydroso.
