Whangarei is about 2hrs north of Auckland.  Within easy driving distance of us are the many beaches of the Whangarei Heads and Tutukaka Coast. Or you can enjoy other local activities available including diving, surfing, fishing, golf, Heritage Park & Kiwi House, and the Whangarei Waterfalls.

Pilgrim Planet is ideally located for exploring Whangarei and the superb Mair Park bush/river walkway on foot.  Only a few minutes walk to downtown shops, restaurants and the Whangarei Town Basin.

Who We Are

My wife Karen and I built Pilgrim planet about 3 years ago as our home and as a place to offer guest accommodation. Karen works in IT for a local company and I get to operate the accommodation.
